WHO QUALIFIES FOR DIGITAL NOMAD VISA?
- Individuals who work remotely and have an employment contract with a foreign company, are qualified to apply for a Panama NOMAD VISA program. Remote worker must earn a minimum of $3,000. per month ( $36,000. per year ) in order to apply for a NOMAD visa.
- Self employed individuals who also work remotely and earn a minimum of $3,000. a month ( $36,000. per year ) are also qualified to apply for a NOMAD visa.
FOR HOW LONG A NOMAD VISA HOLDER CAN STAYAND WORK IN PANAMA?
Panama NOMAD VISA grants remote workers to stay in Panama for a period of 9 months, The remore worker may extend his NOMAD VISA for another 9 months. This means a NOMAD VISA worker rmay stay in Panama for a total period of 18 months. One of the benefits of NOMAD VISA, is that the NOMAD visa holder do not need to apply for Panama work permit.
PANAMA DIGITAL NOMAD VISA REQUIREMENTS
In order to apply for a NOMAD visa in Panama, Panama immigration office require the following documents. Some of the documents be provided by applicant ( the remote worker ) and some documents must be provided by the company who hires the remote worker. In addition, our immigration attorneys will prepare additional documents supporting the NOMAD VISA of the applicant before submittting the application to the Panama immigration office for approval.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR NOMAD VISA;
- Duly signed and notarized power of attorney
- Copy of the valid passport to be apostiled and authenticated
- 5 passport size photos
- Clean police report of the remote worker from the country he resides, to be apostiled and authenticated
- Health certificate of the remote worker
- Declaracion Jurada of the applicant
- Applicant’s Affidavit assuming all his expenses in Panama and return to original country in case it is necessary, apostiled
- Health insurance policy covering the remote worker for his medical expenses while he is in Panama. If the insurance coverage is a foreign company, it must be apostilled/ authenticated.
- Proof of foreign company existence (certificate of the company employing the remore worker good standing ) to be apostilled and authenticated
- Employment letter signed by the legal representative of the Company confirming the employment of the remote worker details job, salary, etc. to be apostiled and authentication.
- General background information about the remote worker
- Applicant Signed affidavit declaration that applicant would not accept any job offer while livin and working in Panama with NOMAD visa.
- Proof of income of the remote worker: Bank account statements of the remote worker showing the income that has been received from working remotely.
- ( minimum of $36,000. per year), Bank statements must be stamped by the local banks and then to be apostiled and authenticated.
Requirements for self-employed NOMAD VISA applicants
- Certification or proof that the company is registered in a foreign country or that the company you are working for is located outside of Panama, apostilled/ authenticated by a Panamanian Consulate in the issuing country
- A signed affivadit stating the general information of the applicant, list of his clients, applicant’s services provided to the client, regularity of payment, source of applicants funds such as where the funds coming from and number of payments. apostilled/authenticated by a Panamanian Consulate in the issuing country
APPROVAL PROCESS AND TIMING OF NOMAD VISA
The NOMAD VISA approval process may take between 30-60 days.
Once we have all the required documents, we’d apply to the immigration office in Panama for a NOMAD VISA on your behalf Approximately after 30-60 days, we will notify you of the NOMAD visa approval.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Individuals who are qualified under NOMAD VISA program, must apostile all the required documents and FEDEX / DHL them to us for final review and submission.
